Card show FAQ

Visiting a show

Is entry free?

Yes, entry to CAPS mall shows is free. Some flagship events add a paid VIP early-access option: at CAPS Cardshow @ Expo 2026, general admission was free with registration at the entrance, and VIP early access was S$29.90 per day. Each show's page lists its entry details.

What are the opening hours?

Opening hours are listed on each show's page once they're announced. Flagship events may open earlier for VIP ticket holders.

What cards can I find at a CAPS show?

Pokémon, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh, Riftbound and other TCGs, plus sports cards such as basketball and soccer. Vendors sell singles, sealed product and graded slabs, and bigger shows add guest illustrators and a fan art zone.

What should I bring?

Cash and your phone for PayNow, a bag for your purchases, and a want list if you're hunting for specific cards. If you plan to trade or sell, bring your cards in sleeves, toploaders or a binder.

How do I pay vendors?

Payment is between you and each vendor. Most accept cash and PayNow, and some take cards. Bring some cash just in case.

Can I trade cards with vendors?

Many vendors are happy to trade. Ask at each table: every vendor sets their own trade values.

Can I sell my cards at the show?

Many vendors buy cards as well as sell them. Bring your cards protected and ask at the tables. Offers are made by each vendor, so it's worth asking around. If you want a table of your own, see our vendor page.

Can I get my cards graded at the show?

At some shows, like CAPS Cardshow @ Expo, our grading partners run submission booths: you hand in your cards at the show and they are graded afterwards. There's no on-the-spot grading. Check the show's page to see whether submissions are available.

How do I avoid fake cards and scams?

Check cards carefully before you pay, buy high-value cards graded by a recognised grading company, and complete every deal in person at the show. Never pay a deposit to someone you met online who claims to be at the show. If something feels wrong, tell the CAPS team on site.

Is there a tournament?

Some shows host tournaments, such as the Riftbound tournament at CAPS Cardshow @ Expo 2026. Tournaments are announced on the show's page and on our Instagram.

Are there free activities?

Yes. At most shows, when space allows, we run free activities anyone can join, like our stamp card activity and a prize wheel spin with free giveaways, sponsored by the CAPS team and our sponsoring vendors.

Are kids welcome?

Yes. CAPS shows are open to all ages, and many families come together. Young children should stay with an adult, especially at busy convention events.

Is the venue wheelchair and stroller accessible?

Yes. Our shows are held in malls and convention centres with lift access. Aisles can get crowded at peak times, so mornings are the easiest time to visit.

Can I take photos and videos?

Yes, but please ask vendors before filming their tables or cards up close. CAPS also photographs and films our shows for social media.

I lost something at a show. What should I do?

At the show, ask the CAPS team or the admin booth. Afterwards, message us on Instagram or email contact@ctrlaltplayshow.com with a description and we'll check.

Where can I get updates on new shows?

Follow @ctrl.alt.play.show on Instagram and @caps.cardshow on TikTok. New dates are announced there first.
